I've handled and fondled an SR9 several times since they came out a couple years ago. They feel real nice, but I've held out hoping that Ruger would introduce a .45ACP variant (maybe 12-13 rounds in the fullsize?). So far they've not done so but with the introduction of the SR9c this January I thought maybe I'd take the plunge back into 9mm. I sold all my 9mm stuff a couple years back in a frenzy of caliber consolidation.
So in the gunstore the other day I happened across an SR9c in the case. Asked to hold it. I was not impressed with the way it fit my hand. Did not have that nice ergonomic feel of the fullsize.
Granted it's a compact and will feel different but this was worlds apart from the fullsize, for me at least.
So with that, I guess I'll keep waiting to see what they offer next in .45ACP. In the meantime I'll just continue to accumulate Ruger .357 Mag revolvers. Like the LNIB 6" full lug stainless GP100 I picked up yesterday for 340.00
