They come through quite often but I've never been home to get it on video. The wife and kids have seen them a few times but she quickly gets them in the house. We've been here about a year and this is the first chance I've had to get this close.

3 cubs, must be good mast falling. Cataloochee valley was full of them last week too. Saw 10 the first 2 days. Kinda quit counting other than we saw bears every day up there, stayed 6 days.

 

Excellent video, good distance and you didn't pursue...

 

If he had, we'd have seen a much different video.

Gonna bump this one. Had a visitor in the back yard this morning.

 

Guess you better keep your garbage cans in the garage and tightly sealed. Bears are kinda cool, but I'm not sure I want them hanging around my house too much.

I'm so sick of portrait videos that I am in favor of the death penalty for portrait videos.

 

Those cubs are being taught that's it's ok to hang around people. I'd pop em with a bb gun in the ass.

Fwiw, I grew up in Maine with black bears everywhere around. They were like Opossums are here. We discouraged them hanging around in very creative ways.
