Just got this post from Armed American Radio on their Facebook page

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED NOW! Target stores are considering an all out BAN of lawful firearms in their stores as a result of the Bloomberg puppets Moms Demand Action. NOW is the time to politely contact Target and let them know where you WON'T spend your family's money! guest.relations@target.com. Do YOUR part to STOP BLOOMBERG! 800-440-0680 (press store experience).

I emailed an Called. Even if you don't shop there, take action and don't let Moms Demand Action control the narrative.

It's their prerogative. It's a private business and they have the right to do so.
I just will not go there, if they don't extend the privilege for me to protect my family on their property.

Carrying on private property is not a right, it's a privilege allowed or disallowed by those in control of the property. If they want to say you can't kiss and make out on their property, they should be allowed to. Wonder how the media would report this if that was the case?

I have heard that Target is considering banning the lawful carry of concealed handguns at your stores. This is certainly your right as the property owners.

I would encourage your team to consider carefully just who would be most affected by such a policy. Law-abiding shoppers with money to spend would be the only one’s turned away by such a policy. Criminals either actively seeking to do harm or simply content with breaking the law by ignoring your signs would most certainly not be affected.

Please take that simple fact into careful consideration when weighing the cost/benefit of banning law-abiding shoppers from your stores.

Sincerely,

Hmmm, can't say I didn't see that one coming! Expect to see more of it from other private businesses in reaction to OC Advocates choosing to make their place of business a battlefield for their political agenda.

I agree with your statements, however they are a business, and will be swayed by which ever side screams the loudest. Call them and email them even if you know you will never go there in the future.

yep, the moms didn't like that accusation being thrown out there, though.
Come on now. These Moms wouldn't lie or do anything like that to promote their agenda. These poor Moms get spit on at airports after people seeing them on TV at the airport. Wait????

Ya'll act all surprised????? Consider their leader and think again. He and the "Moms" will stoop as low as they feel they need to in order to accomplish whatever their "goal" may be....
I'll actually be happy when one of them is mugged in a parking lot one day....

It seems to me they were minding their business, following local laws and staying out of it until the OC TX crowd put them right into the middle of it.

That is super cute, but Target (or Chipotle, or Starbucks, or ________ ) aren't public property. If you want to walk down Main Street, USA with a loaded commie rifle strapped to your chest, be my guest as I support your right to do so. I won't support jackasses infringing on businesses who just want to abide by local laws and not alienate ANY customers by being dragged into this mess.

The key word, to me, in that meme is "PUBLIC".

Carrying a rifle into Target is NOT carrying it in "public". Carrying it on a street corner, in a public park, down the sidewalk, etc. is carrying it in "Public".

NO BUSINESS wants to make ANY headline other than, "Sales are Up, Stock Price is Up and Forecast is Good". That is the ONLY headline that any business truly wants to be associated with, ANY other headline is a distraction, expensive and off-mission. These idiots in Texas are harming the cause, not because they're exercising THEIR rights, but because they are stomping the rights of businesses to be left out of the discussion.

Rights of Businesses. Is that you Mitt Romney?

I don't agree with what those idiots did, but lets not dredge this into another one of those stupid business or property rights messes. The message of this thread is too important to be going down THAT rabbit hole.

I Don't Always Use Proper Grammar and Punctuation, But when I do it's not in a Meme.

so after this is made super scary, what is to stop them from making openly carried handguns super scary. will that be stupid as well, confined to sidewalks and other public property?

oh and love the grammar nazi attack, lol, the argument when you have none.

Who is the "them" you are referring to? Antis think ALL firearms are scary. Shotguns, rifles, pistols, revolvers... openly carried or concealed, they don't want them around. The fact remains however this didn't become a big stink until folks started carrying loaded rifles held at low ready onto private property.
