I stay glued to the weather radar when these storms come in. I'll be up till all hours watching it tonight unless it breaks up.

I've been texting weather updates and admonitions to my two students on the coast for two days.
What I keep forgetting is that bad weather isn't considered an emergency to them.
It's a mandatory party directive.

Good. We need the rain
And Florida needed a reminder

So I just got a text from my one kid on the coast to say that my other kid on the coast says he can't get his phone to work. The new phone. The one I bought him a month ago to replace the other one that was trashed. So he'd a have a working phone for emergencies. Like a friggin tropical storm.

My wife asked me yesterday if I had reminded them to charge their phones before tonight.
I replied, and I quote, "What's the point?"

When I'm right, I'm right.

All hurricane names have to be gender fluid now

I just got off the phone with a buddy who lives at the coast. Says its 60 mph wind gusts and stinging rain. His wife has been looking through the kitchen window for the last hour. Said if it got much worse he was going to have to let her inside.

Okay. I've been waiting patiently for the weather folks on the news to come up with another fancy term for an otherwise normal weather system. Unless I missed it, I'm kind of disappointed. So, the new name of this latest weather system is a GONADS event.

Headed to the mountains this weekend. Should be fine up there. But just in casenit gets wet we bought a ping pong table. And beer.
Yeah it's fine. We had a nice overcast day which kept the temp at 72. Ahh.
It'll blow past tonight and the weekend is gonna be super.
NC Apple Festival this weekend in Hendersonville. It's busy, but charming and very America.

I lived in the Keys for 12 years.
Barely a Cat 1? Phht. Party time. And we lived on what can be considered a pepper speck in the ocean and our highest elevation was 8 feet above sea level.

I'm convinced the media hyped this up attempting to deflect attention away from the latest Sea Hag aka Hillary daily scandal number 387.
Her and Huma could go muff diving for urchins during business hours at a day care center and the msm would still insist nothing to see here.
Guess 'Carlos' (scandal # 319) won't be invited this time.

Well we got wind gusts about 25 or so. Had soft rain all day so it is soaking in good.

I have my serious face on but looks like I will not get to do any SHTF stuff with this system....

There's no doubt in my mind that these storms are dangerous. None at all. I just like to sit back and watch the weather folks and news media go all out bonkers when they do occur. It's mother nature, not man. But they will never get that. Ever.
