Seriously. 2-14 in games with under 7 points, 10 losses when going into the 4th with the lead.

Our players clearly need a in your face type coach . With the players we picked up in FA and the draft , this is crap coaching , crap play calling . Been a fan since they were announced to be coming to the Carolinas . We can't seem to get coaches that can to a players strengths .

The play calls are questionable. Cam is similar to Tebow, yet Cam keeps starting and losing and keeps a job. Makes no sense.
Olsen and Smith are the only threat this year. If Carolina loses a few more, a mid season change would not surprise me.

Cam is a runner, yet Rivera did not have any running plays at QB for him in this game. I still think Cam would make a better RB, better than the RB Carolina has now. They need someone who can manage the game, a team player, not super SCam

Defense looks good this year, but it's hard for defense to win a game. Defense gets tired at the end, as the offense can't give them a rest long enough.

I really don't think Cam is the problem and he isn't a prototypical running back size, otherwise I would probably agree with you. Cam can sling it. He throws well. He also runs the read option well. I think Rod Chudzinski will be fired pretty soon. Cam isn't necessarily a sit in the pocket and throw quarterback, but he can throw and he can do it well. The play calling doesn't suit him and the panther's will build their franchise, good or bad, around Cam. I look for someone like Jim Zorn or Norm Chow to end up in the OC spot at Carolina before too much time elapses. Anyone that is familiar with the spread would suit pretty well in my opinion.

He can Run and Sling it. He has talent, just doesn't seem to have good decision making in the game at times. That's what the NFL QB is about. He looks great one drive, then makes some bad throws in the next few. He's just not a consistent passer at this point imo. Yes I agree different play calling and a different look offense could benefit Cam

Sick of it. Threw up in my mouth when they drafted Cam Newton. "Cam can really sling it"? 38 passes today with only 229 yards. In desperation at some point, Rivera will bench him for Anderson, who will put up some good numbers, then Cam will off himself at the thought of being benched. Rivera blabbed all week about getting vertical, and boy did they. Pass after pass 30 - 40 yards downfield, 10to 15 yards OVER the receivers. His numbers wouldn't be as good as they are if Smith didn't have like a 7 ft. vertical. And you DeAngelo, this is still the NFL, not two hand touch. Rant off - sorry I really needed this.

For real.....that was 22 yrs ago

Just let it go man, let it go. It really dosent hurt anymore.

So much talk this week about how Cam would do this and Cam would do that, all Cam did was pick himself up all day. No running game, sub-par passing he looked frustrated all day. Smith is a POS that I wish someone would have planted face first to shut him up.

Carolina's D was supposed to hammer the rookie QB all day long, what happened? EJ looked calm, cool, and collected and in charge. Cam looked like the rookie all day.

80 yards, no timeouts, 1:45 on the clock and the ROOKIE walks down field for the winning TD.

STINGS don't it

Actually, he really can sling it. He was the 5th fastest in NFL history to 8,000 career passing yards. He's with some elite company there. I agree with some of the other posters about his attitude. But, it's pretty typical of a Heisman trophy winner and a national championship winner entering into the NFL. He's got a lebron type of attitude. It's becoming far too common in professional sports. Nonetheless, Cam is going to be there to stay. I'll bet anything on that. Cam won't be benched as long as he is in his current contract. And if it ever was an option, he would be traded. Cam has a fair amount of talent and will probably be really successful. But until an OC that is proficient in the spread rolls into town, things aren't really going to get any better.

CHud moved on in the off season and is a Head Coach now. Shula is the new OC this year.
Sorry, I meant shula. Nonetheless, Shula is equally terrible. At least Chud had a little gumption and ran the read option a bit more. My point is that if you insert a guy like Chip Kelly, etc.. into the OC position and R.R. gave him full control of the offense, I believe we would probably be 2-0 right now.
