We were driving past a mall once some years ago when my kids were maybe 4 and 8, and the mall had the Christmas decorations up well before Thanksgiving. My 8 year old started singing this little ditty he invented right there in the car. You had to be there, but it went like this...
*sung in the nasally cadence of an 8 year old male*...

"It's Christmas in July, we're gonna celebrate till we die..."

Exactly, and it's time for the airing of grievances. IMO, Cowboysfan should kick it off with, "Just why in the hell did I have to put up a Christmas tree mid-October."

 

Christmas decorations go up on december 15th and come down on dec 28th no exceptions

if you really must see Christmas decorations go to the walmart garden center in august.. they should just be putting them out by then

Well boys I'll be honest with you. Is it to soon yes hell yes. But my wife is the keeper of Victoria's Secret. So it's festivas all holow's thanksmas time.

 

I think it's pretty cool. You can hide Easter eggs under it next week.

 

We put ours up the weekend after thanksgiving and take it down New Years .

 

My wife would take them down after lunch on Christmas day of the kids let her.

Brother, its one thing to go along with putting up/out Christmas stuff this dang early.....but why in hail did you admit it openly on the internet, much less with this bunch of yahoos...

my MIL had her Christmas tree decorated and lighted in her living room year 'round, until she was placed in a nursing home.

 

My MIL has one that she keeps up and decorates for the season.
