I just finished watching the first episode. That show is funny! Mike couldnt hit that target at 100yrds with the M1903 springfield, lost to a long range challenge to a 22 yr old kid, and got eliminated.

 

I watched the first episode, too. It was okay, but not good enough for me to make a point of watching future episodes...

 

I am dissapointed in it because I dont like reality shows. It just goes back to the whole survivor thing, which just isnt my thing.

Dont think I will be watching more of it.

 

Team competition (red side):

Shooter and a spotter, 03A3, KD of 100 yards, shooting at a target that appeared to be 4-6" in diameter.

30+ shots and they never achieved a hit on the target. Both claimed to have previous long distance experience with an open-sighted rifle.

I noticed the same thing, especially since the host was a contestant on Survivor a few times. Definitely has that same feel, I found it pretty entertaining though.

It was entertaining, I will watch more if it doesnt get canned. On DVR, I set it on season record, but had no future shows.

 

Hmm interesting. It showed a preview of the next episode so who knows.

The show has almost nothing to do with being a "good shot" imo. Seems as if it has more to do with who likes who the most. JUST LIKE "Survivor".

I might watch it again, but only if there is NOTHING else worth watching on TV.

LOL, just like that Shark hunting thing on National Geographic the other night. I am sorry, if I was stuck around such whiney people day in day out, I'd put the gun barrel in my mouth. I just do not get how folks like those types of shows.

 

Remember the "Alaska Experiment" show a while back where they sent groups of people into Alaska to see if they could survive for a month or so?

I applied for a friend and I, and quickly learned they didn`t want people who actually knew what they were doing and would enjoy the challenge.

I didn`t watch the show last night, but figgered it would be a bunch of people who had maybe shot a bb gun at a fair one time, if that.

 

I thought it was good, maybe I'm a sucker. I'll watch it again if it airs, the host is annoying though.

 

i've deff seen WORSE shows.....if it's on, and i have nothing going on at the time..i'll watch more, but i'm not gonna PLAN to watch it. I think there's no point in showing the back story back at the house..no one cares, or the "cinematography" when they put everything in slow-mo showing the target being hit or the gasses escaping the barrel...just mindless-time wasting crap

 

I'll probably watch a few more episodes, although I thought it was a bit Survivor'ish.

I did chuckle when the guy was shooting the 1903 Springfield... I wonder if the shooter knew the battlesight is regulated to 547yds and there are no "clicks" for adjusting elevation or windage.

 

I know 2 very much been there and done that guys, who applied. They wanted a certain amount of drama and set it up to be as much a game show as anything else. Neither guy was chosen, despite a combined background of impressive experience.

 

Maybe we could get a reality show about the site? There's plenty of us with experience in both shooting and drama! lol Would be better than the show last night

 

The odd thing is that Mike is NOT an amateur. He should have had no problem making that shot.

 

The reality show theme ruined it for me. Couldnt make it past the first 5 minutes.

 

I had hopes it would be more about techniques they are using to make the shots and more in depth on the weapons. I could care less about getting voted off.

I did like the dramatic, exploding targets.

 

I too had really high hopes for the show... but as soon as it became two teams and immunity challenges i wanted to cancel the show myself and put on a much better show... I'll watch it though, because I have nothing else to watch while it airs... I had hoped for a straight up competition... each week a different set of challenges, points awarded and he who has the most points at the end wins... I really don't want this survivor drama bs... I wanna see awesome marksmen do amazing things.....

This show was not made for gunnies like us... This show was made for the average TV viewer.

Frankly I think we need more shows like this. Anything to more normalize the shooting sports with more of america.
