Trap and Skeet in Statesville/Lake Norman area?

3282 Views 8 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  Daisy Duster
I've got a guy coming to a class in Mooresville from Northern Virginia on Saturday (12/8) and he was asking if there are any trap and skeet places nearby. Since I don't have a clue I figured someone could tell me and I can pass the word. He mentioned some place Northwest of Statesville up I-77, but I was not familiar with it.

Any assistance is appreciated!;bd

There is a place north east of statesville, I dont remember the name, but CSC had a group outing there not long ago. Ill try to find it after dinner if no one else chimes in
I can't think of the name but there was a shooters express at one time.
Hunting Creek Preserve near Harmony in northern Iredell County. I've been there a few times and like it a lot.

Another nod to Hunting Creek... I've been several times and its a great sporting clays venue.
Hunting Creek doesn't have Trap. They have a wobble trap, skeet and sporting clays. Nice people and a nice place to shoot. Larry

Yes, this is the place I was thinking of.

FYI...www.claytargetsonline.com is a helpful site
For both trap and skeet try Rowan Wildlife on the Statesville side of Salisbury. This reply is subject to anti-Troll review.
