So I couldn't fly out last night, had a early flight today (supposed to be at 11:40). Woke up to a white out - joy. The drive to the airport was like this:

Then they close the highway and I started looking like this:

Then once I finally made it to the airport and dropped off the rental car we couldn't see squat:

Well, as you may have guessed the original fight was cancelled (thanks chad) got on the next flight that was supposed to leave at 3:40 (5:40est) which is now pushed back to 5:30mst (7:30est). Thanks Elijah!

Then while I'm sitting here bored out of my skull I take a little walk and get to see the Denver artwork. Friggin creepy.

If you're bored, here's some "interesting" reading regarding the airport

Located 25 miles from Denver on a plot of land encompassing 53 square miles (twice the size of Manhattan), sits one of the most curious airpots in the world, The Denver International Airport. Leo and I had a long layover at the airport last weekend. As we walked around, we couldn't help but notice that something about this place isn't right. So I did some digging.
*Note: I'm not a conspiracy guy in any way, I fancy myself as more of a beer drinker, so take this post more in the spirit of WTF than an accusation. But anybody who has flown through Denver Airport will tell you this place is a few fries short of a Happy Meal.
Let's start at the beginning. Denver Airport was commissioned in 1989 at a cost of 1.7 billion dollars. The airport was finished in 1995, 2 years late, at a cost of 4.8 BILLION dollars, roughly 3.1 billion over budget, like ya' do. The airport was privately funded, and nobody really knows by whom. A marker stone in the terminal reads the airport was funded by The New World Airport Commission.
It should also be noted that Denver had a completely functional airport, Stapleton, that many people liked just fine. Stapleton was only 6 miles from Denver after all.
There was really no need to build the airport in the first place… unless you needed a construction project up above to mask a larger construction project happening down below. And this is where the conspiracies begin.

I swear Denver must have one of the longest airport terminals in the country. I had to walk from one end to almost the other and it seemed like forever. Thought I would be home by the time I got to the gate. I tried to Google the stats on the actual length but never found anything.

Well - since I did not have much to do this evening I spent some time checking this out. Some of this has no basis (Nazi runways, AuAG antivirus- not even close). The murals are reallllllyyyyyy freaky, as is the keystone. I never did understand why they built this thing where it is. It is on the far side of the city to the ski slopes which never made any sense to me.

anyway - hope you get home safe and soon.

Made it back, just landed. Parked on the friggin Tarmac at RDU. This day just won't end...
Just caught up on this thread. Glad you made it back brother. I've always said, "If I can't drive, walk or swim there, I don't wanna go" LOL. Did I mention I hate to fly?

First is there a Freemason memorial at the airport? Second, isn't Denver airport a conspiracy theory? Has some underground bunkers or something? Jesse Ventura did a show on it. Ring a bell to anyone? You could check into that while you're there.
