I'm coming home for about a week and a half or so in late July. If any of you would like to meet up and do some shooting let me know so I can plan ahead. Just figured I'd get to know some of my part time CSC neighbors.

Sounds like a plan to me, as the date gets closer we can iron out the details and find a range in the area to meet at.

I am working a lot of Saturdays for the OT but I can schedule around a range trip with zero problems , I am going to the Brewsfest on the 15th of July so any other Saturday will work for me and any Sunday is good to go for me.

We have Calibers if you only want to shoot pistols only, the charge $15 a day.

Then we have Wesmar in High Point that has a 100 yard rifle range, a pistol range and a shotgun area, they charge $20 a day but the rules are a little (a lot) strict, almost not worth the hassle really, but that is an option if you don't mind super nitpicky rules, (no steel ammo, wolf, Tula etc, only 5 rounds loaded in a rifle at a time, must wait 1 second between shots) I shot there a couple of times and managed to stay out of trouble.

The last range I know of is the Triple Target Range in Sophia, the have a sheltered 100 yard rifle range, sheltered pistol range, shotgun and archery area (I have only used the pistol and rifle ranges) , they are really laid back but as safe as any other range I have shot at, they charge $8 am hour for non members, it seems steep but $24 bucks for 3 hours isn't bad when it at 90+ outside.

Anyways as the date gets closer we can work out the details.

My leave doesn't start til July 18th. I think me and my wife decided on going home (Kernersville/Winston-Salem) from 23/24 July to 1 August

If we can do it on a weekday...I can host. All the neighbors are gone, and I don't have to hear about it from my mother who lives across the street. Its a big farm, but when you have a battalion shooting...you know the deal. I do have a grill, etc.

I do have ability to shoot 1 through 500 yds, but I like to let my neighbor across the river know since she has horses and I like to be neighborly. I also have pistol steel and 150-200 yd rifle steel set up.

That's , give or take, an hours drive away from where I'm at. I'd be more than happy to take you up on that offer sneaky. Ultimately whatever day works best for the group should be good. The rough time frame of my presence will be from 22/23 July - 30July/1August.

I will definitely be down for meeting up. I will bring the ammo table and canopy. Sounds like a MuShu business opportunity. I mean, a great time to come out and have some fun. We should do it so that everyone also brings cookout items. Kind of like school back in the day where everyone signs up and the parents send the rug rats with some stuff.

My work is crazy... but if I can make it, I will bring 2 or 3 bricks of 22 for group consumption, and a marlin that wants to see its old home...
if I cant make it, somebody in winston : come cross my path and I will throw in a brick anyway.

HAHAHA. And I have located an owners manual that I kept for such an occasion. It may want to blast all sorts of small furry creatures when it gets back here...leave it unloaded. :)
