Has anyone ever heard of someone's vision getting better on its own?
My vision has not been too bad, but I have worn glasses since about 1986 or so. My eyes have been checked by several eye doctors, including in the military, over the years and I was always issued glasses or given a prescription, so it wasn't like one was making a mistake. My vision has historically been something like 20/30 in my left eye and 20/40 in my right eye. I could always discern a noticeable difference when I covered one eye and looked through the other. I could also tell a difference looking with and without my glasses.
More recently, I noticed that looking through my glasses, and without them, I don't really notice a difference. A few months back, I took a basic physical at one of the plants I was working at. The lady said I had 20/20 from reading an eye chart, but I didn't think it was the proper distance, and just chalked it up to them being lazy and just wanting to make sure you weren't blind. Today, I just took a pre-employment physical, and they checked my vision on one of those fancy machines. The guy said to try without my glasses first. He then said I didn't need the glasses because I have uncorrected 20/20 vision. I am stumped.
