I'm a diy guy, 99% of the projects that go on in my house I do my self and I was just thinking that it would be great if we had a form diy section. Like this week I had to have my septic tank Pumped and once I got it dug out(with a shovel) I found out the lids to my septic tank were cracked. After getting them removed I made a new top. Replacement lids were 65.00 each and I needed 4, so for 111.67 and some manual labor I made a new top. I used four 1x5x8 decking boards, one sheet of sheeting grade 3/4 plywood, some stainless screws, some stainless steel bolts/nuta/washers, fencing, 20 80lb bags of concrete and a old bed frame.
So I built the box using the decking boards and the plywood, and used the old bed frame to brace the "box" (with the stainless steel bolts) so that way it would support the weight of the concrete. Then I put the box in place, added some old fencing to add strength to the concrete and mixed up concrete. Now this sounds a lot easier then what it actually was, all in all it took me about 16 total work hours to dig out the septic tank, remove the old lids, make the box and mix all the concrete.
