loaded some more 690 round ball for my 12 ga
Just finished up a marathon birthday reloading session for some .243WIN ammo... tumbled, prepped and loaded 406 rounds today on the rock chucker. Going to take my poor-man's precision rifle and stretch her legs at 600 yards next weekend.
Uh huh, I'm a De-Loader.
My son rebuilt his USPSA 9mm Major Open gun including a longer barrel. After a SL of chrono testing, we settled on a tamer load.
One of the problems is, I'm 600 rounds at the old recipe.
Please think of me as I slave at pulling 600 projectiles and Reload them to a new spec.
Really. 600. With a hammer.
pulling 600 rounds with a kinetic hammer? yikes...
Check out grip -n pull. I have one for rifle and it works great. Much faster for de-loading, en masse.
Oh, heck yes! Just placed an order for one. Thanks for the info.
Came back from the range today and found this in my mailbox so my son and I dove in on the process. After a couple of hundred, we decided to race to determine how much more efficient the Grip-N-Pull was than the kinetic hammer.
He pulled 9.5 bullets with the Grip-N-Pull to my 3 with the hammer. A 300% increase in efficiency.
Thanks nbkky71. You are the man!
I know I said soreshoulder was the man in a previous post, but it's really you.
Working on teaching my wife the craft.
Prepped new die set for loading S&W 460's. Will load 50 or so tonight! Starline brass, 51.5gr's of H110 with Winchester Large Rifle Primer. It's a flamethrowing blast to shoot!
Started cleaning, depriming, and sizing my 30br brass from last weekends match

Loaded 75 rounds of 460 S&w with 51.0gr's of H110 pushing a 200gr Hornady FTX bullet at 2200fps out of my S&W XVR with 8 3/8" bbl. It's very invigorating to shoot!
Resized about 2000 9mm and matched up the headstamps. And yes, I had to get new readers, lol!
Decapped about 5000 9mm, tumbled about 3000 9mm & .45 ACP, drying about 1500 of both and bagged up another 2000 of both 9mm & .45 ACP. Yeah, the GF is walking on my back tonight. LOL
cranked out a case of 71/2 shot 12ga shells today
Monday did 500 ACP for my revolver, then 110 45LC. hope to be set for Sept.
Just finished assembling a new bench. Bought the stainless one from Lowes, need to reinforce the top with a couple of steel plates and mount the press. Finished mounting the plates and press. Now for a pictures.
Experimenting with some 3D printed projectiles
Are those just primers or is there powder in them? If so what and how much?
I tried two different loads. One was 2.0 gr of Titegroup, one was 3.4 gr.
The projectiles were a bit small at .346 and we ran them at 20% fill so the 3.4 was a waste and actually shattered at least two projectiles.
Next batch is a full .355 and 100% fill so I'm trying the same powder charges . We'll see.
Oh yes. These engaged the rifling better. The only difference in the powder charges was a bigger bang out of 3.4. Still didn't move the slide...
Last time they flew everywhere and a bunch keyholed. They flew a lot straighter this time...
Reloading is such an addiction.
Yesterday I loaded 200 rds of 9mm on my new Lee Auto Breech Lock Pro, I should have gone progressive years ago. Once I got the dies set and the bugs worked out it was smooth sailing through the rounds.
Ran another 750 rds of 9mm using Blue Bullets and titegroup. I need to keep more projectiles on hand, now to play the order and wait game.
Loaded some #6 shot 12 ga rounds with some 700x
Cleaned, deprimed, sized and trimmed 300 6.5G cases, then cleaned, deprimed and sized 100 .45ACP cases, and then cleaned deprimed and sized 100 10mm cases. Most of the pistol stuff was within length, just have a few to trim then start priming and loading it all. I got 250 6.5G new brass and 200 10mm new brass in the mail this week. I'm tired of depriming and sizing right now, I'll load some stuff before starting in on the 9mm brass.
Well...compared to most, I seem to be slacking... Paying work is still coming in so taking a break now and again to pull a handle. Loaded maybe 150 147 subsonic 9mm, 10 test loads with X-Term and 55 grain pulls for the 5.56 AR (with another 4 sitting there waiting....) and seated about 20 9mm rounds a little deeper due to slightly "chunkier" ogive on the HPs I only had 50 pieces of.
Gotta jump in here, last weekend loaded up 1200 10mm, 250 each Nosier 135 gr HP, Hornady 155 gr XTP, V-Crown 165 gr HP, and 200 gr XTP along with 200 Xtreme 180 gr RNFP HPCB. And have another 700 brass prepped and ready.
well where do I start. retired to NC and decided to start shooting again. Had good stock of 223 and 9 mm reloaded ammo. Went to local 3 gun and USPSA matches and sucked. Decided to start practicing again noticed my stash was rapidly disappearing. Hauled my Dillon 65o out of moth balls. Where to start first no reloading bench. Built a monster reloading bench. Deployed my 650 which was not easy when it and parts are in 6 boxes and you cannot remember anything (lost my trusty loading book and data). Got a realignment tool from Dillon cleaned and broke down that press. Took days to get everything right. Finally off and reloading 223 about 5oo rds. Perfect chrono as compared to manufacturer 3030 to 3090 fps no pressure issues. in the game again. Boy prices have gone up for supplies (since 2018)
To kick off my Independence Day celebrating, I poured over 650 of these 135gr .277" pointed flat point bullets and lubed these 100 to prep them for my .270 Win. light load experiment. I plan to load them over some Trail Boss and use them for short range vermin/varmint extermination.
