What would you do if you had a steady job, great benefits, decent pay, but was low on the totem pole and would never move up unless you relocated.
You could move and be screwed on pay for a few years but land a decent job with great pay and benefits.
Or you could change industries and try your luck there?
I am in such a situation as a competitor purchased my facility and my responsibilities have decreased, I have no challenge to my job. I have 7 years in a small industry in Charlotte (small but skilled & "technical"). I went to school at night and received a Bachelor's in Business Management. And with the new company my only options to move up is to move.
