As the titltle asks. A good all around pistol.

All of them.

But without any more detail as to what you're looking for:

You'd be well served by a G19.... i think its a good balance of size, balance and capacity.

Unless you NEVER have any interest in .40, another option is to pickup a G23 (same as a G19, but chambered in .40s&W). Add in a $100 conversion barrel and you now can shoot .40 or 9mm from the same platform!

Im a fan of the 19 as best all around. Just a tad larger than the 26, but smaller than the 17. It's size is the best of both worlds.

I have a 17, 19, and 26.

17 is awesome. Deadly accurate, super reliable, just a hair big to carry.

19 is also awesome. Very accurate, just as reliable as the 17, and just the right size to carry.

26 is great for carry as well, although I must admit I dont have a whole lot of rounds through it at this point, it has been 100% reliable thus far.

I like them all. If you are looking for one to carry, I'd recommend the 19 or 26. I bought the 26 for days like today when it is too hot for a cover garment.

I love all the Glock 9mm's, but the 19 is the best all around Glock, IMO. The 17 is a little too big to conceal. Almost every 26 I see has the mag extensions, which makes it about as big as the 19. The 19 covers the sweet spot, right in the middle. There's a reason they are so popular, and that's that they do everything well. Good luck on your decision.

I opted to go with the FNH FNX-9 when my order for a G19c didn't become available. It is a nice weapon - my buddy liked it so much he sold his CZ 75 and purchased a one as well.

It did require being broken in. After about 500 rnds down range there were no issues - while being broken in I had a few failure to eject. (I had no problems with my Glock 23 out of the box.) Oddly enough, I have not fired a Glock in 9mm. I have a friend who has the 19 and 26 - I'll have to see if she'll let me put some lead down range at some point.

I also have a G23c RTF-2 and love it. If I could only keep one weapon, the Glock would be it. I've fired the G27 and G22 and am considering the G27 as my next purchase (or a G30).

Having some time shooting the compact and sub-compact .40 cal Glocks.... I would say go with the Glock 19 if it has to be a Glock.

While I've had a 19 for over 10 years, I'd suggest the 17. The 19's finger grooves cause me to experience "Glock Knuckle" while the 17 and 34 don't.

The 26 is a solid performer and has been my BUG at work since I've been a LEO

My first pistol was a G19. I'd recommend that to anyone. Perfect balance of weight, size and capacity. Works well for CCW. Still miss my G19 sometimes.

But if you're doing a ton of CCW, the G26 might suit you better. It is a good bit easier to conceal, but still easy to fire accurately.

9mm and Glock, perfect for each other.

I love my Glock 19 gen 4. All around awesome, versatile gun. It's also lots of fun to shoot.

Wy not go to shop that stocks all 3 models and try them out? Also you will find a difference with the grips on the gen 3 and gen 4 models. What I love about the gen is that you can adjust the fit of the grip with removable backstraps. It's not the best system of that type out there, but it works well enough, especially if you don't need to change it often.

Another note on the gen 4 models of 9mm - you might see some buzz about issues with these models, but they have been resolved with a new design of the spring. Mine has been flawless with 1200 rounds or so since March, as you would expect with a Glock.

I have a 26,19,17 and a 34. All are superb, but all are not for same purpose .

My Glock 26 is a '' carry year round gun''.
My 19 is just a bit large for a small guy like me to conceal but fall or winter no problemo.
My 17 is great at the range and is on my nightstand or in the car , but will never be in my holster.
The 34 is strictly (for me) a range / plinking/ competition gun.

Really depends on what you plan on as your primary need. If I had to keep one and only one, it would be the 19- all around it fills more usage needs than any other 9mm Glock imo, but I must say the 26 would be hard to part with, lol.

If you are not stuck on Glock and you want other 9mm options you will get a thousand opinions ( and maybe start an argument, lol ) but I would say consider the Ruger SR9/SR9c and the Smith and Wesson M&P9 / M&P9c.

Keep in mind that if you throw a mag extension on a 26 (which it seems a lot of people do), it will make the grip the same size as a 19, completely negating the main advantage the 26 has over the 19: a shorter grip, which makes for easier concealment. On top of that, you still have less rounds than the 19.

If you get the 26, and want a better grip, check out the GAP floorplates. They don't add any length, but people swear by them and how they lock your hand onto the gun. (You still have to tuck your pinky under the magazine, though)

That being said, with a good holster, the right o'clock position, and some forward cant........a G19 is not hard or uncomfortable to conceal, even under a t-shirt. I'd much prefer having 15+1 rounds ready to go with the 19, but that's just my opinion.
