I would take it even farther than no work, no benefits for you here. I would put them in a labor gulag and make their stay very unpleasant. They come here for a better life. Give them the opposite. They are illegal aliens and have no rights. Treat them as such.

Why not send them to Gitmo for processing? That would alleviate the problem of half not showing up in court and if they escape they are in an environment more like their native homeland.

I am not personally threatened by illegal immigrants. I am not a low wage worker. I do not have to interact with them because I do not live in low cost housing.

I don't either and yet I take the most hardline position possible against the illegals: send them home in a box.

Edit: just this morning I heard news reports about how many of them are MS13. I have no sympathy or them.

It seems to me that taking a "the illegals don't bother me because I don't have to deal with them" stance is quite similar to "I don't care what they do about certain firearms because I don't own any nor care to".

That is exactly where apathy breeds...a sense of "well, it doesn't directly effect me, therefore it's not worth my attention."
