I've never heard of a large frame 20 gauge 870. Does that mean it's the same size as a 12 gauge receiver?

Yes. The frame is the same size as the 12ga. Serial numbers ending in X use the standard weight frame.

This also means a 12ga stock and forgrip will fit this gun. (Newer 20ga express and SP 870s require a specific 20ga stocks and forend made for the 20ga light weight)

Thanks for the info. I can see that being useful for some people. But for me and my age, I prefer the lighter weight.
