This is a 7 hour basic carbine class designed around the AR-15 platform. It will consist of 2 hours of classroom and approximately 4.5 hours of range time with a 30 minute lunch break. Students may use other carbines for the class but must realize that some of the classroom topics and practicals will not necessarily cover their platform. Anyone using a NON AR platform must know how to disassemble and assemble their rifle.
Course requirements call for 200-250 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection, sling, 4 magazines, and appropriate clothing. A handgun with holster, magazines, and around 10 rounds are highly recommended but are not a course requirement.
Course topics include safety, nomenclature, zeroing, reloads, malfunctions, shooting positions, transitions, and maintenance.
Steel core ammunition is NOT allowed. A shooting mat is HIGHLY recommended but not required for participation.
This class will not be cancelled for inclement weather.

We have also had many requests to allow an AR style 22Lr. for the class. Although not preferred, we will allow this due to present ammunition costs and availability.

Please visit our website at www.NCFI.us and use the contact page to reserve a spot.

This class will be held in Mills River, NC. The outdoor range is about 5 miles from the Asheville Regional Airport.
Saturday- March 16th, 2013 - 9am-4pm.

Might be time for a "refresher" for this old man :) Not sure that I can squeeze this one in...is this the beginning of "once per month" classes?

WNC members (and others)...I highly recommend this class. Sam and Ray are great guys!
