My son and I had a lot of fun today, thank you to everyone that organized it and to the vendors and staff that were so generous with their gear. I left before the M60 got there but had fun with the Uzi and MP5SD.

Yeah, seeing some of these posts from people I haven't met yet makes me wish I did the same. Gotta figure out something for next year; maybe wear CSC hats or something.

I wanted to add my thanks for everyone that came out to share their gear with the rest of us. It was an awesome event. I especially want to thank the guys from NC Silencer for letting me try out several items. I believe I was able to narrow down my list for Santa and may get him an order early since these toys take a few months to get here!

Really impressed with the range too. It's great now but looks like it will only be getting better! Thanks to everyone who made this possible!

Yes, there is. Luckily it was actually the adapter that he made that snapped off. The barrel was threaded 7/16x20 since it was so thin. He made an adapter from 7/16x20 to 1/2x28, which sheered off on the 1/2x28 side.

Glad you got to try to salvo. I was pleasantly surprised with the sound of the subsonic 12 gauge through it.

That you could hear the sound of pellets zinging off of rocks was pretty cool!

    Is that a handloaded shell?

Nevermind, I see on the last page they are reduced recoil target loads

Wow that's a lot of buildup.

The third chamber from the end looks like there's a dip or bend in the core

I'll take a semi-wild guess from being on that range all day and RO'ing a bunch of people shooting the AR22: ~2.5k rounds, most of it on full auto.

The unsuppressed 5.56 AR's handguard got so hot we had people wearing a glove on their support hand. :)

    Sure does.
Is that can "rated" for full auto?
If I did that with my Zephyr, I would have NEVER gotten it apart. Literally.

It is rated for responsible full auto. We were responsible right. Followed all the safety rules, :)

All cleaned, recovered an ounce of lead. Good as new. Great testament to Innovative Arms Apex.

I've seen the owner of Innovative Arms shoot the aluminum version on full auto before...I guess it's OK

Gonna send Phillip some pics at innovative. Sure he will get a kick out of it. Told him we were doing it when I was at his area yesterday and he just smiled.

I haven't been to his shop in a while...not since he cut a 308 barrel to 16.5 for me. I need a thread protector and another QD mount from him. I have a Grunt and I kind of want to get the new style Exo shroud on it...currently mine is smooth/no shroud but I like the style of the new one

Had a great time. Was nice to put some faces to the screen names. MichaelHK, Jayne, Havoc, bfd608 and many more.
You hang out on forums like this, argue with people, talk smack, and it's easy to forget that the vast majority of people behind the screen names are just cool dudes/ladies that share that passion of shooting. Events like this bring that idea home. Was great to meet you fellas.

Thanks again to the vendors, and the guys that just brought out expensive-ass gunz for us to shoot and enjoy mostly for the cost of ammo alone, or even downright free, and Woody for hosting it.

Good job putty it together Shawn!

I didn't get to wander much but still had a great time.im sure I met all of you as I was one of the smiling faces having you sign waivers, filling out door prize tickets and putting on your wrist bands with Gemini 26 and Jayne. I did get to play with Ray's stuff from Thunderbeast. I was going to run a belt ready for the M60 but we had a couple of youngins there and I backed away so they could shoot it. The smiles on their faces was worth it.

Thanks to all that came out, thanks to the vendors and a big thanks to Woody for letting us use his most excellent range. Thanks to Kevin for doing the food and to Shawn and Susan for doing all the leg work. Bob Reynolds, you are the man. I'm sure that One Team, One Fight will do well with the Sarah Palin rifle.

Bob, I meant to spend some time up front and give my feet a rest, but forgot all about it. Next year, we'll have to coordinate better on rotating spots.

Wasn't a problem Joe. It was more important to me that Susan had a chance to get out this time as she never had a chance to get out in past events.

And Kelly was there too so Bob could have taken some time. Other wise I think everyone got to move around. I know I did. I walked all day. My feet are wore out today. Did not shoot much. But fortunately did get a few seconds on the 60.

I really appreciate everyone that helped. I could not do it without you, too many to name and I know I would miss someone and that would make me feel bad. So if you helped thank you and I know one team one fight thanks you.

Time to start planning the next one :)

i am working to figure all that out. Ty and Petty @havoc won the steel challenge and the IDPA stage. Will draw the raffle prizes in a bit and start contacting people.

That sounds like a good idea. Or plan to meet up at one of the tents at a specific time and talk for a bit.

The latter might need some tweaking as a number of us are RO's, but we'll figure something out.

I didn't even think of that. We have a little while to come up with something!
