If you were pulled over, and the officer after learning you have a permit and are carrying, asks if can have your weapon for his safety, are you required to give it to him? I am leery about letting him disarm my weapon, What would you do and is it legal?
Would you give your weapon to LEO if they ask "for their safety"?

With past experience, I would demand a warrant be for giving a gun or any property to any LEO
even tough I was in years past an LEO , and have never been arrested or charged with any crime,
if the LEO for some dumb reason kept it you would have a high price to ever get it back, and there is more LEO's doing dumb shxx every day , and the average civilian has no recourse for it
