This is awesome. My oldest is recently diagnosed with Aspergers/High Functioning Autism. It scares me to know that he'll be treated differently and will have a harder time than most (not as hard as many though). Seeing videos like this helps me keep hope up about his chances down the road.

Made my day! God bless Israel for recognizing the worth of every human. If only that were true everywhere.

Awesome video. Love how the Israelis are still sticking it to the Third Reich and the Eugenics Movement. Everyone important in maintaining a civil society.

Another reason the Arabs will never overcome Israel.

I have a 23 year old nephew down the street stuck in a wheel chair for life with use of one arm, one leg, and half his brain due to a stroke after surgery for a childhood brain tumor. That kid has more personality and more friends young and old than anyone I have ever seen. If you are with him in public you are an instant celebrity, if only because you are with him. He's never met a stranger.

I just sent this to his mom.

    That was very moving.

Effort is a lever. If you put just a tiny amount of effort into something, the payback is small. If you ratchet it up a little to real commitment, suddenly you pass the knee of the curve, and wonderful things can happen.

This is one thing that I wish we had more of in NC. For those that know me, I work with kids like these on a daily basis. Most are much lower functioning than the young men and women in the video. I believe that there should be more programs in place for students like these after they get out of high school. There are some options at a few community colleges and workshops, but that is really it. Eventually I'm going to move on from my day job and hire a few of these young men and women to do small tasks at my other day job :)

Seabee, I'm by no means an expert but if you ever need any assistance or have any questions about your little guy in general, please feel free to contact me.

I did notice a few segments that The Marines Hymn was audible.

    Great video.
Just FYI, the music from what we know as the Marine's Hymn was from a French Operetta about Genevieve of Brabant

I kept coming back to the idea of manning in the military. The use of people in what ever capability they can perform frees up more able bodied soldiers to perform other duties.

I think from a strategic point of view its VERY, VERY smart.

yeah I had that same problem...

seriously, this is great of them
in a country where all are required to serve, its good that they allow those with disabilities to do their bit too, be part of the cause
