Just out of curiosity, did you purchase this R700 and chassis already assembled or did you build it? If you built it, where did you get the action from? Did you buy a complete R700 and rebuild it or did you buy the action separately?

    Thanks,

I purchased the complete R700 brand new from either Bass Pro or Cabela's. I no longer have the original bottom metal or plastic stock. I placed it into a very lightly used KRG Bravo chassis (inlet specifically for the Remington 700 action) that I already had.

The barrel, trigger, and action of the Remington 700 is as it came from the Remington factory. None of the barrel/trigger/action components have been adjusted or modified in any way.

    Correction:

Arguably, the action was modified when I installed a a Spuhr 20 MOA scope mount/rail using Blue Loctite torqued to spec.

Bolt on item, easily removed or replaced without affecting action otherwise.

    ---

I would consider selling the R700 as a barreled action by itself, the chassis by itself only after action is sold.

kids now have shorter attention spans and aren't willing to work toward anything that takes time or effort

The ones that do are the ones that will be able to accomplish more when older.
