No the bluing is absolutely fine, that's silicone from wiping it down. As far as rounds, my estimate is about 1000. 2 boxes of bulk Federal. Cleaned after every trip to the range.

Wow, BTT everyone was buried by Catman yesterday.

Also have a 10/22 FS, they would be an excellent rimfire 2-gun set. Be willing to make a deal if you bought both at the same time.
