I got this in a package deal and really have no use for it other than its inherit novelty. This is a Stevens model 124 shotgun, 2-3/4" chambered, 12 gauge with a 28" barrel. This is the craziest action I have ever seen on a shot gun. The bolt slides back and then forward to chamber a round. Once seated you have to push the bolt handle in to the left side which locks the bolt in battery. After you have fired the round you pull the bolt handle out to the right and cycle another round. The tenite forearm is in pretty good shape but the butt stock has been replaced with a nice wooden unit and recoil pad. Barrel has a few scratches but a clean bore. The receiver has some freckling on it and the aluminum trigger group's paint is flaking off. The butt stock has a hairline crack on the left side from the rear of the receiver rearward that runs into a grain line. The magazine tube holds two rounds. I gave it a cleaning and worked the action with some live rounds but have not fired it. It cycled fine however the bolt release is worn and doesn't consistently work. Asking120 $, I travel during the week so it may take a day or two to reply. Price drop..... $100 and I will throw in a vintage vinyl gun case that is ugly, smells bad and is too short for the shotgun.
