Hi everyone,
Due to the weather we are having to move the 2 Gun Tactical Match to August 9th, the 2nd Saturday of the month. Our bays are at the moment still grass and dirt and the mud there creates issues in moving obstacles and props into place in time to have the match and makes it a bit dicey in the slick mud to be running and gunning. Due the possibility of rain still existing tomorrow as well, cardboard/pasters and rain don't mix well. We are seeing conflicting reports, but at this stage the current state of the range is the most difficult one with the rains.
John Boyette I'm sure remembers what it was like last December trying to do the classes that morning. It was great fun and we all left covered in mud, but the bay was a muddy and wet mess. We are in the process of getting something better in place, but being a young range things don't always happen as fast as we'd like.
For all those who couldn't make it this weekend, we'd love to have you out next weekend. We'll be finishing moving in all the new props and obstacles this week and looking forward with fingers crossed for next weekend. Nothing has changed as far as stages, round counts or anything that way, it's just being deflected a week. This also lines us up for the suggestions on having it the second Saturday of each month which is our plan from here on out. We appreciate the advice and we'd love to have everyone out who can make it.
If you have any questions, cat.smallwood@gmail.com or jbechtel61@gmail.com.
Thanks everyone,
Catherine, CCGCI Shooting Events Committee
