Awesome. Sounds like a great gun to have! Be fun to try at a shoot for sure! SIG has the Molon Labe 1911 version, don't they? Sounds great...looking forward to seeing you there!

Yes, the weather does suck...got runoff all over here...ground is saturated and we live just a few miles from the range. Looks like there may be a break in the rain for a couple of hours, but it wouldn't help anyone who's car is stuck in the mud later in the morning either. The gravel is one of the projects in the works and once down will make a LOT more possible over there.

Yes we do. A couple of us started it last year a few months before our first board elections, being a young range and all. How do you get people to want to vote for someone if you have no idea who they are and who else is in your club so that you can find out who's interested in what? We came up with the idea of a cookout. We generally have 30-40 people or more show up, it's a member bring something or donation type thing. We use the donation money to help buy items that might be in short supply as well as cups/ice/plates/etc. so we have plenty. Last year we even had enough at the end of the cookout season to do a catered BBQ event from Dickie Do's near Haw River here. That went over fabulously (second best BBQ I've had--my fave's in TN). It's a great way to get to know each other and it worked perfect to get people down trying to 2 Gun last week. Got a LOT of people excited about it. We're planning now on doing a single stage IDPA one coming up soon, too. We've had cowboy action demos, we've had lots of really cool stuff show up that people in the club have let members shoot as well. Great times.

If you live in the area, check out the website and register for it. We'd love to have you. Great place to get to just chat up gun people and check out our club. Maybe you want another membership out there ;-)
