I'm picking up a like new AMD-65 (Nodak spud receiver?) for what I think is a really good deal, on Friday. Well....I do NOT like the folding stock...and I'd rather have a fixed stock installed. I was going to do a Krebs and ace conversion..but that'd double the cost of the gun....so, is it possible to just have the trunion swapped to an AMD63/64/whatever style? I know there will be a cutout left...I don't really care, this gun will get shot...a LOT

You can change the rear trunnion, but not only will you have the cutout in the receiver remaining, the original rivet holes are not the same as a fixed stock rear trunnion, so the old holes would be there also. If you absolutely must change it out, the best thing is to find a smith that can change it for you and weld up the old holes and smooth them out, or sell the AMD and pick up an AK with the standard rear trunnion.

haha, well there was some wheelin and dealin...
best friend likes to always one up me....but i get out of hobbies a LOT, so he one ups me...i get out of the hobby...he sits on his stuff, i buy it for hella cheap...flip it...i make money. done it for years...cars, bikes, guns, rc cars, computer parts, etc...etc...

i bought a complete rc crawler off him for $150....sold it for $380......i'm buying his AMD for $300.....so..bam, $70 out of pocket, and 10 min spent finding a buyer of his stuff. still, not as good as buying a 94 civic hatch off him for $250 and turning around and selling it for $2500 after putting $500 into it...all in one weekend

i just wish I had more money to get some more stuff off him...right now he's sitting on an '06 or '07 LT450R fourwheeler....thing hasn't EVER left his garage except when i rode it up the road (about 300yds) a few years back....i can get it off him CHEAP, but just no way to haul it around right now...

but anyways.....
