I'm hoping component prices remain relatively the same…. but you know it won't. I need to head out to see what I can find & if prices are jumping already for powder, primers, brass, & boolits.
ROAD TRIP!!!!

I need some small pistol myself....

I put out 400 rds of 223 today myself. I enjoy reloading and dont find it a hassel or anything. I dont forsee a ammo shortage at my house for a long while .Low prices to currently due to past bulk buys.

Components are getting hard to find right now and the prices are going up. Try to buy in bulk when you can helps alot in round count costs. Pick up range brass also whether you reload it or not. What you dont load you trade.

I reload match rounds but blaster 5.56 and 9mm is not worth my time. Better to buy then load. 400rnds of 5.56mm in a hour to load and no time flat to shoot.

If I get a dillon 650 then it might be worth it.

That can is an average shooting trip for me. I've never bought .223 in bulk and have been lucky through the years picking up brass pretty cheap or free range pickups. Oh and being semi retired has it's advantages as well.

If I had ammo sponsorships that would be one thing... I'm comparing it to current pricing. ;) I'd buy a reloading set up before I'd EVER pay $800+ for 1k rounds of 223
Guys,

I am responsible for creating this monster.

To me the break point is $0.45 a round @ 1000 end count. I factor my time in loading as part of the cost. When my pricing to students and what I can pick up 1000rnds ever goes over $450 then it's worth it to me to load ammo.

Right now with a little one @ 8years old, Lego's and doll's taking over the world is higher on the list for my time at home. Lol

I find it to be enjoyable and cost effective. The other plus is I don't have to play the shopping game to find ammo.

I did 600 165gn JHP .40 S&W the other day and then 500 55gn .223. I'm now out of .223 projectiles. I'll be taking advantage of Wahoo's next group buy.

Just got in 500 230gn .45 and 500 180gn lead from Don at Lucky13. I already shot the initial 500 .45's I ordered and they were great. I'm trying the .40's to see how they work. Plus he's local to NC and gives a 10% CSC discount.

Now to find SRP's

Lemme know how the lucky13 .40's do... I've got 500 coming this next week to try out.

Silver: You just facilitated it by providing the press... It was going to happen one way or the other. ;) I'm cheap! (Well ok... that doesn't explain why I reload 54r since surplus is cheaper but whatever)

i use it as father son time, and he gets to learn how to reload in the process. he is always asking if we have any bullets to reload.
