Long story, short version. This is a S&W 36-no dash 3" nickel "skinny barrel" I bought NIB in 1976. Price written on box end is $121.95. I got it for a little less than $90 thanks to an LEO discount.

Around 1980 ex wife and I split up. I left the gun with her. Years later ex-wife died. Oldest son found the gun in her house...box, papers, cleaning kit, and the Tyler T-grip I put on it back in the day.

Took it out yesterday for a couple of pictures. It gets shot but its been a month or so.

C&L, don't take this wrong, but I hate you!
Every time you make a post it has some gorgeous revolver pictured in it.;hubba I've got the bug bad enough as it is, I don't need you contributing to my illness!

Very similar to the S&W I have on permanent loan from my dad. He got it from his cousin who has the blued brother to match the nickel plated.

Mine *cough* my dads does have the 2.5 inch barrel but otherwise looks identically gorgeous.

Beautiful gun. I bought a 3" Model 36 no dash from a member here. I then sold it to a family member and I've been offering him cash for it ever since. Even offered more than he paid me.

Great handling little guns. Much more petite than they appear in your photos. Must be the T grips.

You take great pics C&L. It's a gift.
