I don't know if this has been discussed before but, does anybody know where to find the number of permits issued in NC by county if possible. I found on North Carolina rifle and pistol Association some records for 2007 but not total of all permit holders.

Good to know there are almost 200k valid permits in the state. That means 2% of all NC citizens are current CHP holders. Seems like a pretty small percentage!

Not necessarily as small a percentage as you might think. It might be 2% of the total citizens, but what percentage of eligible citizens?

Interesting numbers.
In a conversation with my parents, we were talking about restaurants and businesses that dont allow ccw. Just throwing numbers out there, if you took one family, a ccw husband, wife and say two kids thats four people in a family. Cabarrus county has 4922 ccw holders. In a bad economy and sales driven businesses, 19688 "potential" customers at $10 a head that's $196,880 lost revenue per day. I know I'm rambling but something for these businesses to think about.
