I have to agree with NetJunkie, we don't need another forum. What we need is the ability to contact other members even if the entire net goes down which would negate FB as well as other forums. Email might work if its still working or possibly cell phones. In my case I even have a hard wire land line left intact (why, I don't know)....

What about a spreadsheet in a sticky where if you wanted to you could add your name, email address and/or phone number and then you could down load it to your pc and have it incase of another outage. Maybe have the sticky in the watercooler area, so that only members could access it.

IMHO.... too exposed, lots of members on here that I don't know and wouldn't want them to have that info. Make your own select list, PM just those members and exchange info.

Just remember to extract the info to a spreadsheet or address book, if left in PM's and the site goes, it's unavailable....

How about putting a phone number in your "about me" profile, and changing the privacy setting to registered members. Just a thought.

I'm no internet guru but how can you access the profile if you can't open CSR's site.
