Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't powder degrade faster when it's not loaded up? I know it has a "shelf life" in the can and I'm pretty sure it lasts a good bit longer in the sealed projectile. I always assumed it was due to moisture/oxygen.

Both will last for decades.

I prefer to store my components loaded, rather than separate -- but I've (over the course of years) worked to decrease my calibers and components, so I really never change up things much. I know my 9mm work (with a variety of guns), so I just fill ammo cans and store them in a climate controlled safe.

Generally i load enough for a range session or two,however........ on a cold rainy day i might binge load a proven load and label it.

Kinda both. If I've got a proven load, once everything is set, dies, powder measure, I'll load a run more than my immediate need. But, no, I don't use up all my components in case I need to do some load development.
