Thing about fleas, they have part of their life cycle where they are in a "cocoon" stage. When they are in it, nothing kills them. So, you have to hit them at least 2 times, 3-4 weeks a part. Also hit the yard at the same time, otherwise you are just bringing in new fleas each time.
Right. They sprayed and I waited 3 weeks and called them back to spray again. 6-8 weeks later the fleas where still horrible. There were no pets inside or outside during this time. I know they can be carried inside on me also. But I expected some improvement.

What did they charge if u don't mind me asking?
Belcher, I don't even remember and that was the last time I called an exterminator. The link I listed is to a store in Wilmington and they are great to deal with. They sell stuff to kill all kinds of bugs/pests. I spray around the base of the house twice a year and keep the rest of the bugs out.

I have two full grown boxers. They are indoor dogs. When I first bought my house we had a flea problem. Heres what I did and it seemed to work good. But it may seem crazy.

For the fleas thats in the carpet I put Borax and salt mixture down for a couple days. Then vacuum it up.

For the yard I used one of those sprayers for cars that you can put soap in and hook the water hose to. Then get a couple bottles of Dawn dishwashing liquid. Its like giving your yard a bubble bath.

For my boxers I used the Dawn to bathe them with. You can see the fleas fall right off dead. They will literally run or jump to get away from the Dawn.

Results my vary. But this has really helped us with fleas problems.

+1 for Trifexis. Our dogs are inside dogs and we haven't had any problems fortunately. We did adopt a dog about a year ago. We gave her Capstar and Trifexis before we brought her home. We were good to go. Our Vet just said to use a tick collar as needed. I personally could have used one a couple weeks ago while turkey hunting. Little bastards.
