WHY can I hardly EVER watch a You Tube video or any video without it stopping....and starting and stopping 5 seconds later etc etc. I have Road Runner and a decent N router. My computer is an i5, 4GB RAM etc

Is it just the videos on You Tube OR is there something I can do to get better streaming.

Same here............!!

YouTube sucks this time of night. All the commifornia teens are on it hogging bandwidth.
Hmmm, HD vids are playing fine on my MacBook. What vid?

It's usually YouTube. They load equally slow on my pc, iPad, and droid phone. I have roadrunner 50mbps so I know it's not my ISP.
Actually it probably is a different issue for you... What are you using for a router? Cheaper ones have issues all the time. If your window size is wrong, it will also cause stuttering. Dropped packets? Yeah that can happen too, so despite speed, it still could be your ISP.

Click on the video play button and let the video start to play then hit the pause button, allow the video to buffer untill you see the line start turning gray, I normally watch videos in 1080P and I have to allow them to buffer untill they are about half way loaded and then I never have any studdering videos/

This will play for a bit...then stall...then play.....then stall

It will play smoothly for me at the 360 small screen stage. If I go to HD (720) and ful screen it stutters and freezes. If I pause and wait while it buffers up it is fine. I'm on firefox 14 with Linux Mint 12. Problem is transmission from Youtube to you. Choked somewhere.

Played without a hitch. There is some lag at night involving heavy users sharing cable broadband. I've noticed it a few times and at work where my company has incredible download speed of 8 mbps. My house only gets 3.25 mbps & .25 mbps for uploads which costs $49.99 a month. Restricting my uploads is a pain when I place my videos to YouTube. Been told if my upload speed increased I could install a server and run a business per say. $79.99 is a business account fee but only then you are only 1 mbps uploads...

Are you using Internet Explorer? If so, that may be a big part of the problem. My wife used to constantly complain about trying to stream videos on our laptop, and them never running smoothly. I finally got her to ditch IE and use Chrome or Firefox and she quit complaining!
