I went out in the back yard to my barn where my shooting bench (welder) is. I placed a precision target at 5, 15, and 25 yards (blocks of wood) and proceded to shoot out the double doors toward the berm(pile of wood).

Shooting like this:
a- keeps the sun off of my pre cancerous neck
b- keeps the neighbors from seeing a big black revolver
c- mediates the noise from the CB Longs

Long story short...it is a tack driver. From my fairly unsteady rest, it put 3 shots touching a couple of times from 5 yards. It cuts under an inch when I don't yank it at 15 and it will hit 2x2" wooden blocks every time at 25 yards. I didnt even have my glasses on and I have the eyesight of an underground trout from the Lost Sea up there in the mountains.

I regulated the sights to be dead on at 15 yards with CB longs. I will have to wait til I go over to Jack's house to shoot some full power .22s. (I laughed out loud when I said "full power .22s")

It will shoot better than this 40 year old (almost) with astigmatism in both eyes and arthritis all over can hold it. It just feels "RIGHT" in my hand, wow, I need more K frames.

No more Ruger autos for me, I have found "the one" for me in a .22 plinker.

Sweeet!

I love those K frame target guns! My 17-2 is a real beaut and also a tack driver.

I picked up an uglier than sin, beat up and pitted K Frame Model 14 (.38 spcl) a while back. Put some vintage target grips on and it has become my absolute favorite. I blow the center out of the target with that thing at 25 yards regularly.

Be careful, or you'll find out that you're a K Frame addict....
