I joined the GSSF last week, in part because of the fact that you can get one Glock a year at LEO prices. I checked out the info around how to do the purchase, and it looks like there's actually isn't a distributor in all of NC that handles the GSSF deal. Some outfit called OMB Guns out of Lenexa, KS is listed as the place to buy from if you live in NC. This surprises me more than a little bit, given the number of firearms enthusiasts we have in this state. :)

Can anybody shed some light on this... Do I really have to buy from Kansas, or are there local shops (preferably local to the Triangle area) that'll do these deals? I'm not a LEO, nor do I play one on TV, so I wouldn't otherwise qualify for the LEO price.

That's one of the reasons why I didn't bother with GSSF. It's fine if you have a local store that 's a member of the program and/or plan using the other benefits, but if you don't... after you factor in the GSSF membership ($35) + price of the gun ($425 for the non-comp 9/40 calibers) + transfer ($20+) + shipping (if it isn't free), it's not so much of a deal anymore.

You're looking at $480 (without shipping) vs. whatever you can haggle for in the store; you can do better. Lastly, the GSSF pistols are not the blue labels (3 mags), but white label (2 mags). I didn't mean to crap on your thread, but it's something to think about. If you could show your membership card to a local store... they may or may not give you the GSSF price, but maybe it'd knock the price down a bit.

I signed up for the GSSF so I could take the armorer's class... So, the $35 is a done deal. I'm looking at the lower-price Glock as frosting on the cake. To that end, it's $425 for the gun and $15 for shipping (according to the official information). Add in $25 for an FFL transfer, and you're looking at $465 for a brand new Glock. The extra $40-$65 (to wahoo's point) is worth it, to me, since I know I'm getting something brand new.

Now, all that said, if somebody has a G26 they'd like to part with, I'm in the market. :)

Just so I'm sure I understand y'all, when you say "Lawman's", do you mean that Lawman's carries LEO Glocks, or that Lawman's honors the GSSF coupon/price? I know they carry LEO Glocks, but I want to be sure you mean that they'll sell one to a non-LEO with a GSSF coupon...

I would just call your local dealers that carry Glock and see if they will honor the deal. While distributors can be dealers, dealers are not distributors. So just because there is no distributor in NC, doesn't really mean much.

If I am not mistaken, as long as a Glock dealer is a "Glock Stocking" dealer, which is a Glock program, not just a dealer that stocks Glocks, they should be able to honor the price for you. And even if all Glock Stocking dealers aren't able to do it, any LE stocking dealer should be able to do it, provided they are willing.

As others have said any Glock dealer that can get the LEO price should also be able to hook you up with GSSF.

I'm pretty sure this is not true.

In order to get GSSF pricing, you must go to a GSSF Dealer. I think Glock Stocking & LEO Dealers can participate in the GSSF program, but are not required to.

Ed's in Vass can get LEO pricing & Carolina Gun & Gold is a Glock Stocking Dealer, but neither are GSSF Dealers.

(Things may have changed, but that was the case a few months ago)

Don't quote me......but I'm pretty sure you can order from an online vendor who participates in the GSSF program and get the GSSF pricing, and just have it shipped to your favorite local FFL (whether they participate or even stock Glocks is irrelevant).

Ed's Public Safety is one that comes to mind. Google it.

isnt GSSF the same company that had the GLOCK full auto selector switch for sale?if they have GLOCK 21's for 400 bucks''might be worth the hassle?
GSSF isn't really a "company" that sells things. It's an organization; Glock Sport Shooting Foundation.
