Oh man...I just looked at this thread for the first time...what.....did.....I....do.......

hi-point carbines are pretty good just because they're ugly don't effect how they shoot, sometimes you don't need to sell the house to afford a good weapon. If you're looking for eye candy then you bypass them but I've seen eye candy fail when it comes to functioning.
I would not own a weapon that didn't work but looked good. Having said that I still think the hipoint has a very narrow market limited to throw away guns for gang murders and range toys. This is simply my opinion coming from a "if I wouldn't bring it into a fire fight, I have no use for it" mindset. Hope this clears things up

I had a Hi-point 9mm carbine that worked flawlessly...sold it in a "stupid moment" because I had to have something new. WISH I still had it.

I'm not saying it would not work. I'm just saying I personally wouldn't want it on my side in a fire fight. Unless of course my other option was a black powder rifle.

Why not have one that works AND looks good? Same as having an ugly woman. A pretty one can do anything an ugly one can do and will look a lot better doing it. Larry

No where in the quoted post did I indicate I had a problem with a good looking rifle that functioned. If you read all 5 or so of my replies in this thread, I'm sure my position is clear on this whole matter. Not even sure why it's still being discussed.

Now that would make a good thread topic.

Fun bags or Feed bags? You decide.
And the thread has reached an all time low....
