I don't normally like motorcycles.

But this one really grabbed my attention. I was working at an apartment complex in Jamestown yesterday and saw this.

Very inexpensive, mad max looking, don't eff with me, ride in the median and get out of dodge looking motorbike.

May see if I can find one like it for my bug out bag. It looks like it may be small and light enough to fit in there.

There's a couple military bikes floating around ebay. The model is a M1030, it's a modified KLR65o, but they also had some KLR250s. There's also a Harley Davidson MT500, not nearly as common. They weren't used by the US military, but were by the Brits. the Diesel M1030s are VERY rare. there is a company that will install a diesel engine in a 650.

Speaking of nice "bug out" bikes, are you familiar with Rokon? They make 2 wheel drive motorbikes with fat tires, high ground clearance, and can go almost anywhere, including up 60 degree inclines. They also feature "pull start" Koehler engines. Very durable & reliable - just not very fast. Definitely made for going "off road."

Those are cool as hell, but not very practical unless you're in the back country or something. I always wanted one though...
