When first going back to school, and having a clear path of what I wanted to do, it seemed like forever until I would be finished.
Today I'll walk across that stage, Im super excited.

I set several goals for myself when transferring to UNC-G, one being to make Dean's List, the other being to graduate cum laude/with honors.
I made DL three times. Chancellors List twice. And I am leaving wearing honors cords on my gown.

Im excited, just wanted to share.
Yall take care

congratulations!

I finally wrapped up my BS a couple years ago...at age 40. Went to a small local college that has a strong program for working adults, graduated magna cum laude. IOW I didn't just buy a degree on-line. By the time graduation rolled around I was so over it that I skipped the ceremony and went fishing. I regret that in hindsight.

I graduated at 31, married and a kid. My wife told me she had put up with so much over the previous 5 years that I was either gonna walk or she would knock me out and drag me unconscious across the stage.

Congratulations, HYBRID. You will never regret the time you spent getting your education.

(ETA: Sorry, hybrid...if I had checked who the OP was, I wouldn't have congratulated the wrong person!)

I walked. I was the only person in my extended family to graduate from college. Until one of my younger cousins did recently.

Congrats.

Man, my first teaching interview was wild, not what I expected.
Less expected was getting offered the job. And turning it down yesterday was freaking hard!

Hopefully you get on at East Davidson so you can deal with my badass kids in a few years. But seriously congrats and you picked the best subject to teach.
Bro I wish, no one is leaving though :( Im trying to stay in Davidson County, working my butt off to apply at Ledford right now. Hoping ANYTHING in DC will open up

thats where my wifes kids went there entire school year...brown, pilot, east
When? I taught there this semester

Congrats! I finish my senior courses this summer and have to take two electives in the fall... So I'll be a Dec. grad at age 34 or 35 depending on the date :) My wife also said that I WILL be walking and gave me a guilt trip about how that's all she wanted this year for her birthday, etc so I guess I'll have to endure the ceremony. Married, a kid, full time work... Whew boy it's no joke!

Good chance I'll be signing on for two more years though :(
