Google assassin bug and read about it. Several different species. Some use a rostrum to inject a toxin into insects, it disolved the insides and sucks them out. Another type bites humans and actually feeds on blood. Etc

Yes, kissing bug (assassin bug) would be my pick as well. They are NO LAUGHING matter, if you have an allergic reaction to them you could die. They kill more people in AZ than poisonous snakes due to anaphylactic shock.

Assassin bugs are bad news. Looks like a small one compared to some I have seen, but the photo could be deceiving with nothing to compare size to. Had a girl at work stung/stuck by one and immediate swelling, redness and itching. According to her, the bite was like a hot nail being stuck in her. Kept one in a paperclip dispenser for a while after that just out of curiousity, very defensive and extremly nasty attitude. Finally smashed it, cause I knew at some point I would screw up and it would get me.

Its a juvenile wheel bug. Very painful bites, but not real harmful.
