I will never in a million years trust anything UTG/Leapers/NCStar/etc. that requires batteries or involving optics. But IMO, their hardware is usually ugly but good to go. This handguard looks good. Nice pick up.

Midwest 15" is $189.00 with shipping and I got this one for $129.00 shipped. That is a $60 dollar difference which to me is a pretty good savings. But Midwest also looks like a good deal for the money if someone wants to spend a bit more.

Yeah, I've seen the MI for $150 shipped many times, but Biz says you can still get the UTG for $100 if you look too...

I personally like the look of the MI handguard but the UTG was a pleasant surprise. Dave did well and opened a lot of eyes with it. I can't use one in the new build as they don't make a 7" handguard. If they did, I would give it serioud consideration.

STAFF EDIT: This is a listing mistake by Amazon. It shows the pic to the one I bought but the one listed for $99.99 is a different one. Check the actual part number for reference to what you are getting.

 

After seeing lowers/mag wells explode taking hands and mags with them, a part the encourages the coke can grip is not a great add on, IMO.
