Gonna start eating better cutting back on the beer and getting lazy ass into the gym. Last year I quit dipping and energy drinks cold turkey. I had the worst headache for a few days but managed to stick with it and I haven't had either since.

I don't do the R word. Haven't in decades. However, Since August first, I have dropped sugar all together, no soft drinks, sugar in my coffee, cookies, nothing. Sweet Tea is my Kryptonite... Dropped 35 lbs, about 7 to go to my goal weight and I swear it's going to take me an additional 4 months for that last 7 lbs.

My blood work numbers are near perfect in 4 months, I'm still on a mild BP med but working on that one too. Doc said I could cut it back in half of an already small dose but haven't done it yet.

Started gathering stuff to reload. I hope to shoot more in 2016, even if all by myself. I bet I didn't go 6 times in 2015.

Stop drinking soda. Check
Drop weight. Check. 40 pounds gone - 30 more to go
Make more money. Hopefully
See the grandkids. They all moved to Texas

Do a better job at prepping.

Faster horses
Younger women
Older whiskey
And more money

I wish

Get back on a proper low carb eating regimen
Put finishing touches on my financial plan.
Buy some training for my girls, I simply don't have the time or health anymore. Guess this involves calling Boyette.
Get to more shooting matches than last year.
Quit acting like the bull of a man I was 20 years ago, stuff don't hold together like it used to.
Love more
Live more
Laugh more
Show my friends and family the love they deserve.
Make more friends
Get to church more, God knows I need it.
Quit cussing....again. That unfortunately requires that I completely ignore politics and world events.
I think...I think that bout sums it up.

Gonna get them fancy hy-lur-on-ic acid shots in my right knee, fixed my left knee right up and it's still holding. 'Sides, the insurance co says no replacements until that route is taken.
What is this you speak of? (rubs worn out knee thoughtfully)

My ortho doc gave these, after cortisone failed to give relief. 3 shots, once weekly for 3 weeks. My insurance (BC/BS at the time) required it before considering replacement surgery.
Eventually, I noticed much improvement, even more so after the right knee started to hurt more forcefully.

Helps to rebuild cartilage and such.

In all seriousness, I should have done this several months ago given the relief my left knee has experienced. Not 100%, but at least better.

I don't know what your doc told you brother but nothing rebuilds cartilage besides possibly microfracturing.
Been there, done all that. If my right knee had as many needles sticking out as have been stuck in, it would look like a porcupine.

Had laproscopy in Feb. Already had a couple rounds of cortisone and another synvisc(hyalouronic acid). It is actually a replacement for lost synovial fluid that is supposed to be in the joint. My knee has had the works, microfracturing, trimmed meniscus, cleaned up synovial sac, it still hurts like hell almost every day. It has now started trying to throw me on the ground or down a flight of stairs. Much of my knee is now bone on bone. It crunches like a flour sack full of pea gravel. Not much left but replacement. I want it replaced but my doc keeps pushing me a little further. At some point I am gonna tell him I don't give a crap if it is wore out in 20 years, I need quality of life while I am young!

I feel for you, and know what you are going through. If the shots are working be thankful, you still have good options.
Take care of your knee and good luck.

Thanks, good luck to you as well. It's just what I was told, but then again, my doc referred to them as "rooster shots". I didn't ask-
I essentially have bone-on-bone too, but right now if the right felt as good as the left, I wouldn't complain so much. I just haven't pursued further treatment yet, but I will soon, getting tired of barely getting through a trip to the groc store.

I would like to read my bible cover to cover, Lose 15 pounds and have more mind blowing sex. Two out of the three would make it a great year.
Sounds good. Think I'll do it too.

Went to the Y to swim today for the first time in over a year :(. Don't let the screen name fool you...used to be an All-American swimmer but now it's more a motivational thing than anything.

Anyway, after swimming only one mile I was toast. Done. Had to use the ladder to get out of the pool like the old folks do. Got enough lactic acid build up to last a week. Cursing myself for stopping working out last year. Swearing I will never quit swimming again.

Went to pick up my 4 yr old son from child watch. He wanted to go run laps and "race" on the indoor oval running track. Little shit lapped me TWICE in under 5 laps. Told him if he lapped me again I would sell his entire stash of 22 ammo to other out of shape Dad's on the CSC.

Exercise. Definitely exercise. I swear this time. Just keep swimming....
I wasn't an all American swimmer but I did swim in HS and the swimming in navy flight training was a breeze. Used to swim a mile in the regular.

Joined the Y summer before last thinking I could just pick up w mile swims again after almost 20 yrs out of the pool. It was comedic gold.

The " stuff" is made from rooster comb. I have heard them called gold shots by my FIL. He really thought they had gold in them. I had to explain to him that simply referred to their price. The new shots are derived from some kind of bacteria and are supposed to be less prone to negative or allergic side effects. My insurance will only cover the old rooster comb shots.

I've tried the daily schedule in my bible but it just didn't flow. I think I'm going to start and use a note pad to write one or two questions from each passage I read that day. Then find the answer. I've been wanting a leather bound journal for sometime, might be a perfect excuse.
