The other half of my resent gun purchase arrived today.

The specs:
20" barrel
8 shot tube
Fiber optic rifle sights
Weight is surprisingly just over 7lbs
Pistol Grip is Metal (pretty cool)
ATI stock with recoil reducing buffer tube.

The action is short and super smooth. Receiver is one milled out piece of metal and the finish looks good. The barrel can't be removed in this model. I don't know if that is a good thing or not. The cleaning/disassembly instructions are really simple. The action and trigger require no cleaning, disassembly, or maintenance.

I love this gun and can't wait to take it out this weekend. Two new guns to shoot, when will the weekend get here.
Only drawback is the new models do not slam fire.

I was able to get out to the range today and run some shells through this new shotgun. There's not much really to report other then it was boringly reliable the action is quick and short and it is really accurate.

I was able to make five slug holes touch offhanded at 50 yards easily. This gun is definitely a keeper.

Being recoil sensitive (and old to boot), do you think the buffer offered any significant reduction vs a good recoil pad on a standard stock? I've just begun shooting an 870 Police I took in trade and found some Nobel brand light loads that are tolerable, but the heavier stuff has more recoil than I want to deal with.
