After doing some research I decided to give the Samson Evolution 12.37 a try on my new PSA M4 upper. I watched a few videos, broke out the Dremmel tool, and this is the result. It was a little nerve racking using a cut off wheel on my new rifle but it all worked out. I have put about 400 rounds through it so far and I am very happy with it.
I have seen posts in the past asking which rails can be installed without special tools so hopefully this helps some people out.

Looks good... I also was leary about using a drimel tool on the delta ring so I simply removed the gas tube took the barrel nut off and disassembled the delta ring then re installed the barrel nut.....

The newer Alpha version uses the factory barrel nut
I didn't know that either.

Cutting of the delta ring was no big deal, but cutting off the front hand guard cap was what made me nervous. I had to get REALLY close to the barrel with the cutoff wheel in order for that thing to break free. Did you do anything to clean up the shaved FSB? Think some high temp flat black spray paint will stay or should I re-blue it?

No need to cut off the handguard cap....its fairly easy to remove the front sight base. After cutting the FSB, I reshaped it on the grinding wheel then painted it with high temp engine paint.

Another tip, when cutting the delta ring you don't have to cut all the way to the barrel....just enough to get it thin enough to break apart with a chisel or something.

Can be done either way....much easier off the barrel though.
Thanks wahoo. The thread you started yesterday with pictures of one you did has got me thinking of doing the same to my PSA middy upper.

I did it while it was still on the barrel. If I did it again I would go the route Wahoo went, I didn't hit the barrel with the Dremmel tool but it sure was close.
Looks great! and thanks for the advice.

If you have a carbine gas system Troy also offers the one I have that lets you retain the front sight post an does not require the cap to be removed...this worked great on my 14.7 CMMG with pinned flash hider.
