I know recently concealed carry on all NC greenways is permitted but I ran into a scenario this weekend that made this not so clear.
I was riding my bike on the Salem Creek greenway in Winston Salem yesterday, without a pistol, and part of the greenway is closed due to construction and there is a detour which I take. On my way back I see a sign that states no weapons are allowed on the campus of Winston Salem State University, apparently the detour utilizes part of the WSSU campus.
If someone were to be stopped by a LEO going the other way where there was no signage indicating they were n a college campus what would the result be? I think this is ambiguous as best and would cost the average Joe considerable legal fees.
