I need a new author to read.

My preferences run to James Lee Burke, Robert Crais, Brad Thor, Lee Child and John Sandford for mystery and suspense.

Jim Butcher and Kevin Hearne for fantasy.

Of course I have read all of their stuff already, so what do you guys suggest?

Steve Hamilton's Alex McKnight series is pretty good, as well as Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch series.

I've read several of the Bosch series and started to real them in order but got hung up on The Black Ice, Just moving too slow. I have read one of the Hamilton's and will try another.

Frank Herbert's Dune series

Excellent read and heard a new film is in the making. I did like what David Lynch did with the 1984 film.

Then there's Stieg Larsson with the Millennium series.

Try Larry Correia for his Monster Hunter series. Sort of Urban Fantasy ala Jim Butcher. Lots of weapons and snappy patter. Queen of the Elves lives in a trailer park. For Action mystery Dennis Lehane - Start with either Gone Baby Gone or A Drink before the War. Great dialog. For Assassin thriller try the Rain series Barry Eisler

Frank perety (I believe is how you spell it), The Oath. Good book has a funky turn towards the end, its been a few years since I read it, but I thought it was great.
