Tonight I removed my BSA red dot and replaced it with a Center Point red/ green 1x. The new scope looks and matches the finish of my Double Star just great. My only problem is the scope is too low for a comfortable cheek weld and the front sight is now in the way. I need to raise the scope about an inch. Would a set of tall rings fix this? Or would a scope riser block be better. I am going to add an iron rear folder later if that matters.

Check out the P.E.P.R. mount from Burris. It is a 1 piece mount designed for mounting scopes on flattop AR's. You should be able to pick one up for around $70. I have one on a 20" AR and it puts the scope in the perfect position.

I think I have found a 1" riser that another board member has Pm me about. The Center Point has a 30mm tube and a nice solid ring mount. So this is going to be the best option for this set up for now anyway. I need to get some iron sights too but believe I will get a carry handle for that.
