I had to give myself a Christmas present. I had to search this out big time. But I finally found it. I've wanted this one for a couple of years, one really sweet shooting 1911. Here are some pics of my new Kimber Grand Raptor II

Congrats on the new Kimber! How does the checkering on the front strap feel? I've never held one and have always wondered how sharp it was.

Cens, it doesn't bite hard at all. Honestly, this gun feels very secure in your hand and checkering isn't sharp at all. But when you grab it, it doesn't slip at all either. I really like that. I'm a 5'4 woman with a small hand and it feels really nice and secure to me. And I love the raptor scaling on the slide. Gives a great grip to rack the slide and good control. One thing I'm very big on is a good feel in my hand for any of my handguns. I've moved about a 100 rounds thru her this week, and this gun is very accurate and a great shooter!! LOL I've been playing make the soda bottle jump on the back acreage with it. That is from 15 to 20 yards out. No FTE or FTF on this one so far. I will consider it very solid with about another 400 rounds and a couple of field strip cleanings in between.

LMAO!!! Dirty, I'm sure you would if I could only pay you say $25? I'm sure you would properly dispose of it Let's just say I'm loving this gun!! It's everything I've ever heard about Kimber. I'm sure not disappointed in it at all.
