Are there black powder guns that have one time use nipples? I thought they were permanent and just needed occasional cleaning. Thanks. I'm referring to an older model Jukar.

man i was getting excited- i am jut really getting started in black powder, but i have never heard of a disposable nipple ,they will need mant reg but should last a little while or reasonable number of shots-if not you are loading wrong or too hot a cap.
lets hear it from the bp guys i too need a bp mentor for info
They need to be regularly cleaned, but they last a good long time. What model/type gun are we talking here?
Back when I shot #11's I would pull the nipple and clean it liberally with soapy water and a toothbrush. They make a doodad called a nipple pick that is used to clean crud out of the nipple itself. Good thing to have in your possibles bag. Any thin length of wire can be used for this though.
If you're putting a gun up for long term storage (like deer season to deer season) I typically pull the nipple and if applicable the breechplug and lubricate and store them separate from the gun, wrapped in an oily rag. Sucks to break out your gun the next season and find things frozen up because you weren't quite as thorough as you thought for the last year's cleaning.
It's an older model Jukar - on GB, and the nipple's missing ad the guys telling me they're 'one time use' and he doesn't have any. Thanks. for the info...it's GunBroker item # 157162280
I looked the item up. He says in the description that the nipple is removed and with the accessories. I take that as meaning it's included just not in the gun.
Nipples are great. Unfortunately I'm four weeks into the six week post pregnancy drought and my boy won't get off the teet long enough for me to see them... Wait, is that what we're talking about? No? My bad...
