seems like everyone needs a definition of who you are/ what you believe in this "social" world, this is what we came up with...what do you think?:
We are parents and neighbors who don't believe in being a helpless victim of a violent crime. We don't condone illegal acts committed with guns, which, by definition are "illegal." We carry firearms to prevent violence to ourselves and our families.
Legal gun owners are sticklers for personal responsibility. We don't believe in "accidental" discharges or allowing firearms access to unsupervised children.
Whenever there are talks of gun restrictions or bans of guns/ magazines in the news, thousands of new gun owners and shooters join the hobby. We welcome them with open arms, but we firmly believe that with ownership comes the personal responsibility to learn the safe operation and storage of your firearms. We have professional, certified trainers and experts who are willing to help new shooters for minimal cost (if any). If you need a gun lock, we can help there also.
We encourage people to train with their firearms as often as possible, we have several large training events a year and we have several different types of training available from beginning to advanced. We have dedicated female trainers for the ladies if desired.
Despite what you hear on the news, AR-15s are not "assault weapons" and they don't use "clips." They are not machine guns and you cannot buy one from a dealer at a gunshow without a background check.
The 2nd Amendment doesn't have anything to do with hunting. We think if you can legally own a firearm, you should be able to own as many of as many kinds of guns as you want.
We have over 18,000 members on our forum who would be more than willing to share experience and opinions. Please consider joining us at www.carolinashootersclub.com
