I’m a PHA member have been for the last fifteen years opted into PHA2. I only get there on average maybe six times a year. It’s a drive!

The problem from my perspective and probably others is the availability of places to shoot. There is simply a need for more places (outdoor clubs with 200yd minimum rifle ranges) which can’t be understated.

Before relocating to NC the area I resided in I belonged to three sportsmen’s clubs which were easily accessible. This area was more heavily populated than the majority of NC.

I'm going to try to make the August meeting and apply for membership. I've only been one time which was during the week. I was a guest of one of my close friends and there was only two other guys there. The two guys were extremely nice country folk and the ranges are nicely setup.

I've been a member 15+ years.Good place and good people.They need to do some work on the road to the rifle range.They've put drain pipes in and if your car is low you're not going to make it .I've told them about it and will see if any changes have been made next week when I go back.

Lots to offer. Two hundred dedicated rifle range w/shelter. Up to one hundred yards for pistol and rifle. Designated bays for a number of disciplines. Always a bay or two open at all times. Wobble clays and other games played with one oscillating trap and two fixed. I have never incurred a range Nazi yet. I suppose you could incur the wrath of a member if you are violating rules, though. Hey, go to the website. Dang, is it time to renew again?

Coming from Winston down 150 it will be on the right,just past Orrells which is on the left and some greenhouses on the right.

Just to confirm, there will be a Tactical Shoot on the 21st? The website says third Saturday of the month, but I haven't' heard anything about it here (and can't join the range's forum since I'm not a member).

register early, shoot early

This mo. we will have a 1st come 1st shoot sign in system. If you have to have to leave early you have to sign in early. No exceptions If you come late you will be shooting late. We had an issue last mo. and we had a random shooting order. The rain came and some shooters that came early didn't get to shoot. WE APOLIGIZE for that. To best of our abillity it will not happen again. If time is an issue it is on you to allow enough time to complete the match. Other changes will inclued a safety meeting and walk thru at the start of ea. stage. We will have safety zones to handle your UNLOADED weapons. Do not handle, fiddle or show off your guns in a group. Go to a safe zone. Their also will be a staging area to store your long gun and gear when not carried on a sling. R.O.s will stay with the stage they start with. This will make for more consitant scoring. The RO.s will rotate to the other stage to shoot and return. The mach will start at 8;30am. If you can come earlier to help that would be great and releave the work load. You will also be the
1st. to be signed in. We are learning each mo. and the growth is great.

That 's great! I'll see there. I think we will have a vote on the range expantion. So your 1st vote well be a big one. We want to clear more land and build more bays. They will be used for the tactial match aswell as maybe IDPA match and more. Come early and mingle.
